Live Music Capture
Over the years, we've provided live sound and recording services for literally hundreds of rock bands, world music, classical, dance parties, operas, orchestras, jazz ensembles, musical  theater, spoken word, and sonic experiments beyond definition.  And we've done it in a wide variety of venues, under all manner of technical  and environmental constraints, in tandem with many video and broadcast services.  We've learned that any music can be professionally recorded under many conditions.  We look forward to whatever challenge you can bring us.

Multitracking and Room Audio Capture

Using Protools, Sony Vegas, RME Multiface, MOTU Traveler, Focusrite and Digimax preamps and Fostex Digital Recorders. Room mics are Rode NT5 or AKG 1000s.

Two services are offered: Full Multitrack with stereo room capture or a Live Room and Board Mix .

Full Multitrack is recommended for DVD, video capture or live album release. From start to finish Morphed Productions can come to the venue, track you out, return to the studio for mix and edit, and digitally transfer the finalized files to you over a secure website. If you don't alreay have an engineer you work directly with for mastering, well MP can do that to!

The Live Room and Board mix can be handed to you ready for listen on CD night of the show, upload to music networking sites and playable in your CD deck on the way home from the gig. This is a quality yet inexpensive way to have fresh material ready for promo on your site, myspace or digital press kit. Some artists have even be able to release albums of the live 2 channel mixdown.

In all cases, it is suggested that Morphed Productions also handles the live engineering of your show to help ensure a proper recording fit for the studio. This can all be done for only a little more than the usual cost associated with the venues own sound engineer, and frankly, often can provide a more professional live show experience for your project.
